District #1 celebrates their School Lunch Heroes

Food Services staff surrounds a cake celebrating School Lunch Hero Day!

The School Nutrition Services Employees of Williston Public School District #1 are some of the most dedicated and essential employees in the district. They show up before the sun rises to prepare nutritious and tasty food throughout the day and are often called upon to stay late for any events beyond the school day.

These employees were celebrated late on Thursday, May 3, to celebrate School Lunch Hero Day!

According to the School Nutrition Association, "School Lunch Hero Day is a chance to showcase the difference school nutrition professionals make for every child who comes through the cafeteria."

School Lunch Hero Day also marks the start of School Nutrition Employee Week, which runs from May 7-11. If you have a chance, thank a School Nutrition Services employee today!
