Welcome to Williston Public School District #1!

New Student Enrollment Steps:

Step 1: Determine your home is in the District 1 boundaries

  • Visit the Williams County website
  • Enter your address in the top, left-hand corner
  • If your address falls in the yellow area of the map, your address is in District 1.

At this time, Williston Public School District #1 does not have school zones. Although you are able to request a certain school for your child(ren) based on your home address or another reason, it is not guaranteed that your child(ren) will attend the requested school.

Step 2: Please bring the below documents to the District Office in order to enroll your student into WPSD#1:

  • A copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • A copy of your child’s up to date Immunizations
  • ND Photo ID/Driver’s License or Tribal Card- Click here for information to obtain a North Dakota Photo ID.
  • Primary Proof of Residency (Choose 1 of following):
    • Home Mortgage Statement, Notarized Residency Affidavit, Builder's Agreement, Purchase Agreement, Homeowner's Insurance Policy, Williams County Property Tax Statement, Lease/Rental Agreement (must list the name of the parents/guardians living in the rental unit, plus the manager's name and phone number)
  • Secondary Proof of Residency (Choose 1 of the following, must be dated within the last 30 days)
    • Gas bill, electricity bill, water bill, cable or Direct TV bill, or Department of Social Services documentation

Our Enrollment Department will give you more specific instructions, after the documents are brought to the District Office.

Step 3: Complete the Online Registration Form

The Enrollment Department at the District Office will give you a Snapcode. Once you have a Snapcode, click here and set up a PowerSchool Parent Portal account.

From the Parent Portal, you will be able to complete the online registration form.
