Friday morning we had our monthly assembly and we recognized 4 students. The four students earning the Star Student Award are Chet Byman, Rorrey Zielke, Harleigh Kaulitzke, and Walker Byman. Congratulations and keep up the good work! The day concluded with us having our Halloween parties! The kids had a lot of fun and received lots of goodies. Thank you to the parents who helped out, it was appreciated.

On Tuesday the rural fire department visited our school. We had a special assembly where they taught the students fire safety rules. They gave the students tours of a couple of their trucks and the students were able to peek inside the cab of one of them! Thank you Williston Rural Fire Dept. for visiting us!

We had our first assembly of the new school year on Oct. 3rd. We talked about goal setting and watched a short video on it. We had four students earn the Star Student Award and they were recognized at our assembly. The students earning the award were Henrik Byman, Lola Grangroth, Bailey Trowbridge, and Jack Reed. Keep up the hard work!

Please consider donating shelf-stable items such as canned fruits, canned veggies, macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, peanut butter, instant oatmeal packs, cereal, breakfast bars, pop-tarts, Hamburger Helper, canned chicken, soup, instant mashed potatoes, etc. along with personal hygiene items. Reminder: Upper Missouri District Health Unit is providing an immunization clinic at Round Prairie Elementary School tomorrow, September 29 from 1-2:30 p.m. North Dakota required immunizations will be available, along with flu and COVID vaccines. Parent consent forms are required for students to participate.

July WPD Press Release. Williston Police Department to conduct active shooter drill at Williston Middle School and Brakken Elementary School. During the remainder of the week, the WPD will be conducting a department wide mandatory active shooter training. The training will take place at the Williston Middle School and Brakken Elementary School buildings. The trainings will take place Tuesday July 12, 2022 through Friday July 15, 2022 between the hours of 12pm and 12am. During the training, the police department offices will be utilizing simulation firearms and simulation ammunition to create realistic scenarios. This training is designed to induce stress and create a realistic environment to teach our officers how to respond to real-life situations
