Mrs. Reinert teaches 8th grade language arts at WMS. She was raised in Spearfish, SD. She finds doing things the smart way rather than the hard way to be inspiring.
Mrs. LaRowe-Sailer is a SPED teacher at WMS and this is her first year on staff. Her favorite memory of this year is playing dodgeball with her WINN class at an end-of-quarter assembly.
Mrs. Wilcox is our green team math teacher. She was raised in Chinook, MT. A hidden talent of Mrs. Wilcox's is she is a great decorator!
Mr. Riesgraf is the assistant principal at WMS. He was born and raised in Hibbing, MN. If Mr. Riesgraf could enroll in any WMS class for the day, he would choose orchestra!

Congratulations to Mr. Askim for being voted Teacher of the Month for April. Me. Askim is very kind and takes his teaching seriously. He never leaves a student behind. He lets students know when he will be gone and what they need to work on while he is away. He makes sure that each student gets a turn on all instruments. Thank you for all you do for WMS students. We appreciate you!
Mrs. Buck is our Tireless Teacher for April! Mrs. Buck is an awesome teacher. Her students truly love her and her energy. Mrs. Buck serves on many committees to help the school plan for different projects and assemblies. She also serves as a lunchroom supervisor giving her the time to get to know all WMS students outside of the classroom. Thank you for all you do. WMS appreciates you!
Ms. Monson's Exploring Careers class students made posters for the upcoming graduating 6th graders giving them a boost to think about their future careers and congratulating them for going on to the 7th grade. They hung the pictures on their walls in the Bakken.
For the last day of school May, 25th there will be an early out. Students will be dismissed at 11am.

Williston Basin School District Boundary Community Discussion will be held on April 26th and April 27th starting at 5:30 PM at Hagan Elementary School.
What Will this discussion look like?
WBSD#7 is utilizing RSP & Associates consulting firm to guide us through a boundary discussion and decision-making process. We will host two community forums in April where RSP will gather input and feedback from all stakeholders in the community on this topic. RSP will then provide this information for the District and the Board to use to make the best decisions they can for our students and community.
Boundary Discussion Timeline
Phase 1 (Spring 2023)
Create attendance area for only Missouri Ridge K-5 Enrollment.
Utilize elementary facility capacity efficiently to relieve over-capacity challenges at Hagan Elementary.
Tentative Timeline
March 2023: RSP completes 2022/23 Enrollment Analysis.
March to April 2023: RSP begins drafting boundary concept(s) for Missouri Ridge Elementary (to serve K-5)
April 2023: Administration provides feedback on Missouri Ridge boundary concept(s)
April 26-27: Public input opportunities for feedback on Missouri Ridge boundary concept(s)
May 2023: BOE approves Missouri Ridge boundary for implementation in 2023/24 school year.
WMS is thrilled to announce that Nevaeh Barten brought home a Department of Chemistry Junior Division award for her "Moooving from Milk to Plastic...Udderly Amazing" project at the state science fair in Grand Forks this weekend. Thank you for representing WMS well; we are so proud of you!
Mrs. Branham is our March 2023 Teacher of the Month! Chosen by students because she is fun, caring, supper nice, and supportive, Mrs. Branham makes her room feel safe and welcoming. She makes a point to greet students in the morning and say goodbye each afternoon. She is helpful, sweet, encouraging, and calm while she teaches. Congratulations to Mrs. Richardson on being our March Tireless Teacher for 2023! Tireless Teacher is a colleague-chosen award. Mrs. Richardson was nominated by her colleagues because she is a dedicated and caring teacher who is always there for her students and fellow teachers. She supports her team by being a leader in our MTSS process, she is part of our school improvement team, and she helps plan our PRIDE assemblies. She works hard to make positive connections with students and WMS is very fortunate to have her here. Congratulations Mrs. Richardson!
