January SEL Word: Choices
How many books does it take to read across North Dakota? In November, Ms. Mahnke’s 4th grade class found out the answer! First, they determined that they would measure each book cover read, and each inch would equal 1 mile. In total the students ready 137 books, which averaged to almost 6 books per student! The awesome readers were treated to a pizza party in December for all their hard work. Their next goal? To Read Across America! Stay tuned…

12.16.2021 Message to Parents
Last week the students at Missouri Ridge learned about St. Nicholas Day. St. Nicholas day is on December 6th every year, and traditionally, children in Europe leave their shoes out for St. Nicholas to fill with treats, and in many countries, he is known to leave oranges for children. Thank you to Cashwise Foods for donating the oranges! To learn more about St. Nicholas day, click here: https://nationaldaycalendar.com/st-nicholas-day-december-6/
