22-23 Welcome Letter from the Superintendent Graphic

Dear Members of the Williston Basin School District #7 Community,

On behalf of the Williston Basin School District, allow me to be the first to say “welcome” to the 2022-2023 school year!  Whether you are a returning family or are new to the area, we are pleased that you are part of the WBSD7 Coyote family.  We are all very excited to embark on another opportunity to succeed in our mission to “Inspire and prepare students for the next level of education, work, and life.”

I hope that all of you had the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate throughout the summer months! Personally, my wife Angie and I have enjoyed our transition to Williston.  What a beautiful community to raise our children.  I have especially enjoyed getting to know our new community and interacting with so many wonderful staff and community members.

My wife Angie and children Eva (18), Lydia (11), and George (4) are extremely excited for the new school year to begin.

My team and I have also been hard at work this summer preparing for the return of our students and staff.  Our buildings have been cleaned, we will be holding professional development, and we are finalizing plans to further improve the safety at all of our schools.

I want to take this opportunity to remind families to ensure their children’s information is complete in our PowerSchool system prior to the start of school.  If you haven’t completed this update yet, you can find this information at this LINK.

On behalf of the incredible team of educators and staff at the Williston Basin School District #7, thank you for putting your trust in us to provide your children with a world-class education.  We look forward to working with you throughout the school year to ensure the success of all of our students.  We’ll see you on August 23rd!

Yours in Education,

Dr. Richard H. Faidley
