On Wednesday, Dr. Faidley met with parents, staff, and community members to begin a conversation with them about the future of Round Prairie Elementary. To understand the reason why, we have to go back to the June 13th school board meeting. During that meeting, the board was presented with enrollment numbers and an approximate dollar amount to run Round Prairie Elementary School, and how, as a district, are we going to move forward with our strategic plan. During the discussion, the board agreed to have Dr. Faidley begin open community forums to begin a dialogue with stakeholders and gather information to take back to the board.
During the 12:00 p.m. meeting, approximately 15 participants, made up of parents, staff, and community members, were able to share their thoughts and opinions about Round Prairie.
For those that were not able to attend the 12:00 p.m. meeting, there will be another one on Tuesday, 6/22/2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Round Prairie Elementary School. That meeting will be live-streamed as well.
